28-year old forward Angel Rivas (198-F-93) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team Immortals and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Del Patio (#4, 2-2) 100-94. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Immortals to consolidate first place in the Dominican Rep. league. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Immortals already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. Rivas just recently signed at Immortals, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Rivas has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 10.3rpg), assists (7th best: 3.3apg) and averages solid 2.0bpg.
Second best performed player last round was Richard Polanco (203-F-93) of Los Pepines. He is a forward in his first season at Los Pepines. In the last game Polanco recorded impressive 31 points. Bad luck as Los Pepines lost that game 94-106 to slightly higher-ranked Santiago Max (#5, 2-2). Los Pepines are still at the very bottom. 4 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Polanco is one of the most experienced players at Los Pepines and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.0ppg (#8).
Third place about best performers goes to another Immortals' star - guard Nargenis Ulloa (182-G-97). Ulloa showcased his all-around game by recording 15 points, eight rebounds and seven assists in the last round. He was another key player of Immortals, helping his team with a 100-94 win against #4 ranked Del Patio in a game of the week. Immortals started extremely well this year. They recorded 4 victories without losing a single game. Ulloa turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Ulloa has a great season in Dominican Republic. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 4.3apg (4th best).
